In the first week of May, at the Prasanthi Nilayam campus of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), we began an extraordinary journey — the launch of SPARKLAB 1.0, the Institute’s Innovation Council–led incubation and values-based innovation program.
Rooted in the guiding principle “Ātmano mokṣārtham jagat hitāya cha” — for the realization of the self and the welfare of the world — SPARKLAB reflects SSSIHL–IIC’s commitment to purpose-driven entrepreneurship, where innovation is not just about ideas, but about impact aligned with inner clarity.
Over eight intensive weeks, 28 student founders engaged in a transformative process of ideation, prototyping, mentorship, and reflection under the theme “Where Values Meet Vision.” The journey blended industry insight with institutional integrity, enabling these young changemakers to build ventures grounded in both purpose and practicality.

✨ The Team Behind the Journey
This cohort has been mentored, guided, and inspired by a dedicated and diverse team — Central Trust Members, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization India Leaders, Mentors, Founders, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Professors, Alumni, Institutional leaders — all united by a shared belief: that innovation without values is incomplete.
They brought more than just frameworks. They brought presence, patience, lived experience, and the rare ability to hold space for young innovators to discover their purpose — not just their pitch.
📌 Culmination This Weekend
SPARKLAB 1.0 concludes this weekend as the founders present their final startup pitches — a reflection of months of inner and outer work.
They will also be taken on a guided immersion through the SSSRIF incubation centre, the university campus, the library, and other spiritual-academic spaces — a time to reflect, reconnect, and set their compass for what comes next.
